Dr. Rabil has been outspoken about seeking a peaceful resolution to the Ukraine crisis. However, NATO and Russia are escalating their confrontation by expanding the scope and breadth of their operations. Whereas NATO has expressed its readiness to further expand the Western alliance and its global influence (including to Japan) and support Ukraine following its failed counteroffensive, Russia has threatened to employ nuclear warheads. Dr. Rabil and attendees will investigate the political dynamics revolving around the Russian-Ukrainian confrontation and probe why the international community has thus far failed to bring about a cessation of the fighting, which now threatens a global war. This program is being presented as a guided discussion with limited enrollment to foster interactive participation.
