Since Amman’s civil war in 1970, Israel and Jordan have gradually become strategic partners. The leadership of the two countries understood the paramountcy of their relationship. Jerusalem and Amman cooperate, among other things, on security, intelligence, economy, and regional issues. The two countries had managed to address contentious issues over the Palestinian question, Jerusalem and Islamism. However, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and King Abdullah have had personal, political, and ideological problems that are threatening this bedrock of stability in the Middle East. Dr. Rabil will explore both the resilience and fragility of the Israel-Jordan relationship, especially in the aftermath of Iran's attack on Israel.
"Rabil is very, very good. What young folks might call "crazy good." OLLI Patron.
