"Nobody Expects the Spanish Inquisition": The Long Term Impact of the Spanish Inquisition   

Explore the history and impact of the Spanish Inquisition from the history of the Jews of Spain and Portugal to the wars of reconquering Spain to the exile of the Jews of Spain and Portugal in 1492 to the lives and legacies of the converso community up to today. We shall also examine the Inquisition's role in Spanish colonization of the new world and, finally, the new twist the Inquisition gave to antisemitism that had a direct impact on Nazi ideology.
