Rodgers and Hammerstein: America's Musicals   

Join Harvey Granat in a salute to Broadway's most successful songwriting team, featuring songs and stories from "Oklahoma," "Carousel," "The King and I," "South Pacific," "The Sound of Music," and more. Among the many songs you'll hear are: "Oh What a Beautiful Morning," "Surrey With the Fringe on Top," "If I Loved You," "Some Enchanted Evening," "Hello Young Lovers," "The Sound of Music," "Younger Than Springtime" and many, many more in live performance and special videos. You will hear about Hammerstein's dual roles as a lyricist and book writer and his apprenticeship of Stephen Sondheim. You'll be surprised to learn that Rodgers and Hammerstein also operated as a production company, giving rise to several other hit shows.
