Guided Discussion: Does God Exist? The Ultimate Philosophical Question

The existence of God is perhaps the most important question many of us ask during our lifetimes. We will explore this question through the eyes of religion, philosophy, and science. Using religious studies, we will explore how the classical theism of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam developed. Using philosophy, we will look at attempts by major philosophers to prove the existence of God and the traditional challenges to those proofs. Finally, we will ask whether God's existence fits into modern science. In the end, the speaker, a rabbi, philosopher, and lover of science, will present his own answer. This program is being presented with limited enrollment to foster discussion.
