The Great Comedians: From Vaudeville and Burlesque to Streaming Video   

Join us for a delightful journey through the funniest and most beloved nightclub and television skits by the great comedians of the 20th century. We'll share little-known facts and anecdotes about their careers, featuring legends like Abbott and Costello, Laurel and Hardy, George Burns, George Carlin, Totie Fields, Sid Caesar, Mel Brooks, Milton Berle, Bill Cosby, Jackie Mason, Alan King, and many others. Trace the evolution of comedy from burlesque and vaudeville to radio, TV, film, nightclubs, comedy clubs, the internet, YouTube, and streaming video. Discover their origins, learn their original names, and enjoy their skillful jokes and skits. We will analyze and present the comedy stylings of 20 comedians in their original form, accompanied by visual images and audio and video clips throughout the program.
