Alan Jay Lerner and Fritz Loewe led the parade of the great composers and lyricists who created the Golden Age of Broadway. Lerner’s genius can be seen both in his marvelous lyrics and in his creative writing of the books of some great films and Broadway musicals. We will hear a live performance from Broadway’s “Brigadoon,” “Paint Your Wagon,” “My Fair Lady,” “Camelot” and “On a Clear Day” along with songs from “Royal Wedding” and “Gigi,” the great film musicals. Songs will include: “Almost Like Being In Love,” “I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face,” “On the Street Where You Live,” “I Could Have Danced All Night,” “Gigi,” “On a Clear Day,” “I Talk to the Trees” and many more. Rare video clips will be included.
