Excursion: Flamingo Gardens: Botanical Garden and Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary   

Join OLLI as we explore Flamingo Gardens, a premier wildlife and botanical sanctuary established in 1927 near Fort Lauderdale. This historic site boasts over 3,000 species of exotic and native plants and the largest collection of Florida native wildlife. Enjoy a guided tour through the gardens, including a visit to the restored 1933 Wray Home Museum for a glimpse of early South Florida life. The experience concludes with a narrated tram ride through 42 acres of tropical rainforests, ancient oaks, and wetlands. At the end of the tour, you can enjoy lunch at the Flamingo Pond Grill or one of the many local restaurants. Flamingo Gardens is located at 3750 S. Flamingo Rd, Davie, FL 33330-1614. Wear comfortable shoes, and feel free to bring water. Registration closes on Monday, March 24. Please arrive 15 minutes early for check-in. Space is limited.
