Seminar: Myths and Legends Part III: Iliad and Odyssey

Ancient Greek literature is a treasure trove of epic tales, allegories, and myths that continue to captivate readers today. In this third installment of our 5-part series on myths and legends, we will delve into Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey, two of the earliest works to explore themes of war, heroism, human folly, and redemption. We’ll examine the archetype of the male hero, the role of women in Greek society, and the influence of divine intervention and fate. Through instruction and visuals, we’ll uncover how these foundational stories shaped modern literature, philosophy, and thought. Join us for a rich exploration of the timeless power of these ancient tales. This program is being presented with limited enrollment.
