Join us for a fascinating look at one of the most pivotal events in U.S. history—the Civil War. This program will examine the conflict through the experiences of one American family, the Adairs, whose story reflects the challenges faced by many during this time. The causes of the war were rooted early in American history, with significant violence during the Kansas Troubles, or Bleeding Kansas, a lesser-known but vital aspect of the conflict. Through PowerPoint slides, photos, maps, and period attire, we will explore the war’s impact on families who lived through it. This presentation will offer a unique perspective on the Civil War, followed by a Q&A session for further discussion and insight.
