Join us for an engaging exploration of how Jewish women and gender relations have been represented in film from the 1970s through the late 2010s. We’ll examine a mix of beloved classics like The Way We Were and Crossing Delancey, alongside lesser-known or unconventional titles such as 93Queen and RBG. These films showcase diverse perspectives, from traditionally observant to strongly secular, and reveal why this variety matters. The program also highlights Jewish women directors, exploring the challenges they’ve faced and the opportunities they’ve seized. With dynamic visuals, this program offers a thoughtful look at culture, identity, and storytelling through cinema.
