The Unresolved American War on Terrorism: The Reconstitution of Salafi-Jihadism

The defeat of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria and the murder of al-Qaeda leaders, coupled with the rising challenges from China, Russia and the Middle East, have fed a false sense of complacency or victory over Salafi-jihadism. News and reports about ISIS, al-Qaeda and sister organizations, which had emblazoned our daily narratives, dissipated into near oblivion. This is wishful thinking with dire consequences. ISIS, al-Qaeda and other Salafi-jihadi movements have been stealthily reconstituting, restructuring and reorganizing their forces, as well as expanding their global presence. Their next attack(s) is not a matter of speculation. In this special lecture, Dr. Rabil will trace and survey the strategies, new localities and novel modus operandi of Salafi-jihadis.

Live In-Person with Video Catch-up. Available 2-3 business days after the live lecture.
