Often called "The Jewish Mark Twain," writer Sholem Aleichem (Solomon Rabinovich, 1859-1916) was the most beloved Jewish writer of all time. The creator of such immortal characters as Tevya the Dairyman and his wife Golde, Menachem Mendl and Lazar Wolfe, his world brought laughter and tears to generations of readers. And yet, he earned his living as a stockbroker! Kurt Stone, who began life as an actor in his native Hollywood, CA, has been performing his one-man show for more than 45 years, bringing both laughter and tears to audiences on 4 continents.
