What is Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at FAU?
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Florida Atlantic University offers year-round educational, cultural, and social programs for lifelong learners. Topics include current events, history, science, health and wellness, the arts, philosophy, foreign policy, and more. Programs are led by FAU faculty, university professors, and distinguished local, national, and international experts.
What programs does OLLI offer?
Programs are offered year-round in a variety of formats, including:
- In-person lectures
- Live Zoom presentations and seminars
- Interactive discussion groups
- Live performances
- Educational excursions and special events
Where are OLLI programs offered?
Programs are held on FAU's Boca Raton and Jupiter campuses, as well as select off-site locations.
Membership
Do I need to be a member to participate?
No. Membership is not required to register for OLLI programs. However, members enjoy discounted program pricing and additional member benefits.
How much does membership cost?
Annual membership is $60 and is valid through June 30 of each year.

How do I register for programs?
You may register:
- Online at OLLI.fau.edu (fastest option)
- By mail using a completed registration form
- In person at an OLLI office

Will I receive a registration confirmation?
Yes. A confirmation email will be sent once your registration has been processed.
Attending Programs
Are programs offered online?
Yes. In addition to in-person offerings, select OLLI courses, lectures, and seminars are offered live via Zoom. Program descriptions clearly indicate whether a program is offered in person, online, or in a hybrid format.
Do I need special software to participate in online programs?
Online programs are delivered through Zoom. Registered participants will receive access instructions before the program begins. A computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access is recommended.
Can I purchase tickets at the door?
Tickets for select lectures and special events may be available for purchase at the door, subject to space availability.
Can I attend one lecture before enrolling in a series?
Yes. A Day Pass may be purchased for the first lecture in many series. If you later enroll in the full series, the Day Pass fee will be applied toward the cost of the series.
Where do I park when attending OLLI programs?
Boca Raton Campus: Lot 15
Jupiter Campus: Lot 74
Parking is included with registration. No parking decal or vehicle registration is required.
Parking arrangements may vary for special events and off-site programs. Participants will be notified in advance if alternate parking instructions apply.
Refunds, Transfers & Credits
What is OLLI's registration change policy?
Refunds are not available after registration has been completed.
Participants may request a transfer or account credit before the program date.
- Transfers are free.
- Credits remain valid through June 30 of the current membership year.
- A $5 fee applies when dropping a single lecture.
- A $15 fee applies when dropping a full series.

Video Catch-Up
What is Video Catch-Up?
Some programs include a Video Catch-Up option that allows registered participants to watch a recording if they are unable to attend a live session.
Are all programs recorded?
No. Video Catch-Up is available only for select programs. Program descriptions will indicate when this option is available.
How do I access a Video Catch-Up recording?
If Video Catch-Up is available for your program:
- Log in to your OLLI account.
- Select the Video Catch-Up button.
- View the recording when it becomes available.
Recordings are typically available within 2-3 business days after the session.
